Original printed wrappers (soiled; spine loosening and some imperf.), uncut. 166, (iv) pp. (brown spots in places). - Extra illustrated copy: the tabel mentions 27 images: 11 plates and 16 photographs. Our copy with 33 photographs (11 in colours) pasted in on cardboard and 17 engraved plates (10 in colours). The owner added the images with written letterpresses and made underlinings in pencil in text. Photographs and plates of ornements (4, Musée de Namur), numerous relic shrines (Visé, Dinant, Stavelot, Maestricht, Huy),and lacework, 2 laceworkers of Arras and several pieces of liturgical applied art. - The many sheets of cardboard with the mounted photographs cause deformation of the spine but still an acceptable and unique copy
