(Superficial tears in hinges; corners sl. bumped; ribbons dented). Tome I: (iv) pp., p. 5-9, (i:blank) p. 234 leaves, 18 pp. (P.5-9: Amb. F. Didot, Avis sur la IVe édition du Recueil). Tome II: (iv)pp., leaves 235-513, 19 pp. - 2 engraved titles and 513 engraved plates by Huyot, with explanatory text in French and Italian opposite. The plates are reproduced from the 3 editions by Vecellio: 1590, 1598 and 1664. All the plates and texts have different decorative ornamental borders in woodcut: flower ornaments and architectural ornaments. The 18 and resp. 19 pages at the end: "Tables des Matières". - Some brown spots, mainly in the first quires of each volume, but a good set.
