Untearable - mounted on cloth. 6 full-page chromolithographs 'in the best style of colour printing' and 4 pages text, printed in brown, with 4 stories in rhyme: "The cross kitten", "The greedy kittens", "The merry kittens", "The frightened kittens". - Information about the author and the first edition (1864) found in the British Library. - In spite of the small imperfections a good copy of a childernbook, printed on linen.

All the leaves surrounded by a decorative border. Each letter accompanied by different small illustrations, with subjects as ccostumes, animals (horses, cow, pig, etc), professions, instruments, military scenes and many different states of mind. - Lithographs printed by Aubert & Cie. The leaves are spotless and bright white. - Upper corner plate 3 neatly restored, but on the whole a very attractive ABC.

A nice collection of comic histories edited by Outcault in the New York Herald, 1903-1904. - Some imperfections: tear in lower margin title and in 12 other leaves (repaired); the first leaf of the 5th story spotted and wrinkled with more marginal tears and a damaged outter corner. Still on the whole a good copy of comics for children.
