Heubach-Puppen. Characterpuppen, figurinnen

The variety of Heubach dolls is so great that it is hardly possible to collect these dolls without instructions or tools, especially since several Heubach porcelain factories have produced doll heads and doll parts. The book explains the various Heubach companies, of which the Heubach brothers and Ernst Heubach, Koppelsforf, have the greatest importance for today's doll collectors. With a large number of beautiful color photos, the funny group of character dolls - mainly from the heubach brothers' porcelain factory - is presented on a large scale. Since not only glass eyes but also the so-called intaglio eyes play an essential role in these doll's heads, this is also discussed in detail. The pouty, a particularly popular type of doll, is presented in several pictures. But the figurines - among others piano babies and easter bunny children -, half and small dolls as well as googlys come into their own. The book helps with the identification of Heubach dolls, describes the markings and serial numbers, explains about reproductions, risks of confusion and much more.
