Green half morocco, spine richly gilt in compartments; covers green cloth with on frontcover gilt symbolic illustration and on backcover a hemisphere (gilt faded). Marbled endpapers. (Lower part of covers of both volumes damaged). Together with 105 (of 106) engraved maps in colour: No 3: folding map "Carte d'ensemble de la France" is missing. All the text-pages seriously browned (small imperf. to margins; waterstain in uppermargin), but the maps are clean and not affected. - Vol. 1: halfti., title, 1 p. 'Avis', 1 p.
